According to the guardianship, 70 % of the investments of the Moroccan community residing abroad concern the real estate sector.

The measures adopted for the benefit of the Moroccan community residing abroad in the field of housing were at the heart of the oral question session held Tuesday at the House of Advisors. To this end, Fatima Ezzahra El Mansouri, Minister of National Land Planning, Urban Planning, Housing and Urban Policy, indicated that 70,% of the investments of the Moroccan community residing abroad concern the field of real estate. In her speech, the Minister highlighted the Ministry's concern to facilitate the access of Moroccans residing abroad (MRE) to the administration and support their contribution to the development of their motherland, whether it is the acquisition of housing or real estate for investment purposes.

"As part of the monitoring of technical and administrative assistance, urban agencies have expanded their digital services in this sense by allocating a space dedicated to MREs and which allows obtaining information electronically, electronic processing of complaints, and communication on investment offers available at the territorial level," said the minister. And to specify that "these procedures allowed the examination of 3,667 files, of which 2,853 were approved, or 78 %, as well as delivering 645 urban planning information notes, including 32 % in digital format." Based on the evaluation of the first edition of the MRE support campaign, which recorded 1,281 visitors, the minister issued circular No. 3511 dated June 12, 2023, with the aim of organizing the second edition of this campaign for the summer of 2023, scheduled for next August.
It should be noted that in terms of real estate investments, the supervisory authority plans to mobilize 84,000 hectares for activities and more than 20,000 hectares reserved for projects in 2023. These forecasts are part of the program contracts concluded with urban agencies.
